Course FAQ

Specific to this program.

Is GCP in demand in Pune?

Yes. MNCs like Google, TCS, Infosys, and Pune-based startups increasingly use GCP for data, analytics, and ML workloads. Demand for GCP-certified engineers in Pune has grown significantly alongside the cloud adoption wave.

What is the difference between AWS, Azure, and GCP?

All three are leading cloud platforms. AWS leads in overall market share and has the broadest service catalogue. Azure is Microsoft's cloud, dominant in enterprise and hybrid environments. GCP excels in data analytics (BigQuery), machine learning (Vertex AI), and Kubernetes (GKE, which Google invented).

Which GCP certifications does this course prepare for?

This course aligns with the Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) exam and lays the foundation for the Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) certification. We cover all major ACE domains: compute, storage, networking, containers, and operations.

Do I need prior cloud experience to join?

No. We start from GCP account setup, billing, and the console. Prior experience with the Linux command line is helpful but not required, we cover the essentials in Module 1.

Will I learn BigQuery in this course?

Yes. Module 3 covers BigQuery in depth, table design, SQL querying, partitioning, clustering, Pub/Sub pipelines, and Looker Studio dashboards for visualisation.

Do you teach Kubernetes on GCP?

Yes. Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) is a core focus of Module 2. You will deploy real workloads on GKE, work with Helm charts, and understand the difference between GKE Autopilot and Standard modes.

How long is the GCP course?

The course runs for 4 months (16 weeks), with live instructor-led sessions from TechSummitTrainers on FC Road, Pune. Sessions are also available online.

Can I attend the GCP course online from home?

Yes. Every session is available both in the classroom at FC Road, Pune and as a live remote stream. All sessions are also recorded and shared within 24 hours for revision.

What is the fee for the GCP course?

The fee is confirmed at your free demo session. We offer flexible payment options. Book a free demo, no payment or commitment required.

Do you provide placement support after the GCP course?

Yes. We provide resume building, LinkedIn profile optimisation, mock technical interviews, and referrals to our hiring network. We do not guarantee a job, but we prepare you as thoroughly as possible.

Is GCP good for data engineers?

Excellent. BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer make GCP the preferred cloud for data-heavy workloads. Data engineers with GCP skills are in high demand at analytics-first companies.

What is Vertex AI and do you cover it in this course?

Vertex AI is Google's managed ML platform for training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models. We cover it in Module 3, including AutoML, model deployment, and working with the Gemini API for generative AI use cases.

Why GCP is growing fast and what it means for Pune cloud engineers

Google Cloud Platform has gone from a distant third in the cloud market to a genuinely compelling choice for enterprises and startups, particularly those with data-intensive or machine learning workloads. BigQuery alone has become the preferred data warehouse for companies that run large-scale analytics. GKE, the managed Kubernetes service Google built (and open-sourced), is widely regarded as the most production-grade managed Kubernetes offering available. And Vertex AI has become the platform of choice for teams that want a managed environment for the entire ML lifecycle, from training to deployment.

For Pune-based cloud professionals, this growth translates directly into hiring. Companies in Hinjewadi, Kharadi, and Magarpatta that run Google Workspace already have a natural lean toward GCP for new cloud workloads. Startups building analytics-first products frequently choose GCP for BigQuery's cost efficiency at scale. The result is a growing pool of cloud engineering roles that specifically list GCP certifications and GKE experience as requirements, and a relatively smaller pool of candidates who hold those skills compared to AWS.

How does TechSummitTrainers' GCP course prepare you for the Associate Cloud Engineer exam?

The GCP Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) certification is the most widely recognised entry-level Google Cloud credential. It validates your ability to deploy applications, monitor operations, and manage enterprise cloud solutions. This course maps directly to the ACE exam domains:

  • Setting up a cloud solution environment: Covered in Module 1, IAM, billing, resource hierarchy, and project setup.
  • Planning and configuring a cloud solution: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE, Cloud Run, and database selection across all modules.
  • Deploying and implementing a cloud solution: Practical deployments in every module, including GKE workloads, Terraform provisioning, and Cloud Build pipelines.
  • Ensuring successful operation of a cloud solution: Module 4's Operations Suite section, Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and incident response.
  • Configuring access and security: IAM best practices, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, Secret Manager, and audit logging in Module 4.

Beyond the certification, the hands-on capstone project in week 16 ensures you have demonstrated competency across all these domains in a real GCP environment, not just in a multiple-choice context.

What GCP skills are Pune companies hiring for in 2025?

Based on job postings from companies in Pune's major IT corridors, the most frequently requested GCP skills fall into three clusters:

  • Compute and containers: GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, and Docker are the most commonly listed requirements. Kubernetes knowledge is not optional, it is table stakes for cloud engineering roles in 2025.
  • Data and analytics: BigQuery experience is increasingly listed even in generalist cloud engineer roles, not just data engineering ones. Companies want engineers who can work across infrastructure and data pipelines.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform on GCP is now a standard expectation rather than a bonus. Companies want engineers who manage infrastructure declaratively, not through the console.

This course addresses all three clusters directly. The curriculum was designed by practitioners who have seen exactly these requirements in Pune's IT market, not by drawing from an outdated syllabus.

AWS vs Azure vs GCP, which cloud platform should you learn first in Pune?

This is the question almost every cloud career starter asks, and the honest answer depends on your specific goal:

  • Learn AWS first if your goal is maximum breadth of job options. AWS has the highest overall market share in India and the most job postings for entry-level cloud roles. It is the safest bet for a first cloud job.
  • Learn Azure first if you are targeting Microsoft-centric enterprises, the BFSI sector, or companies heavily invested in the Microsoft stack. Azure's integration with Active Directory and Office 365 makes it the dominant choice in those environments.
  • Learn GCP first if you are drawn to data engineering, machine learning, or Kubernetes-heavy environments. GCP is the right choice for people whose target roles are data engineer, ML engineer, or cloud engineer at analytics-first companies. The relative scarcity of GCP-certified professionals also creates less competition for those roles compared to AWS.

If you are genuinely unsure, attend a free demo at TechSummitTrainers on FC Road, Pune. Both mentors can give you a specific recommendation based on your background and the kind of roles you are targeting, not a generic pitch.

How to prepare before starting a GCP course in Pune

You do not need prior cloud experience to join this course. That said, arriving with a few foundations in place will help you get more from the first four weeks:

  • Basic Linux commands: Knowing how to navigate the terminal, create files, set permissions, and use SSH will make Module 1 significantly more comfortable. Even one week of Linux practice helps.
  • Basic networking concepts: Understanding what an IP address, subnet, DNS, and HTTP request are will help you grasp VPC setup faster. You do not need deep networking knowledge, just the basics.
  • Comfort with the command line: GCP's most powerful interface is the gcloud CLI. If you are comfortable typing commands and reading output, you will progress faster than someone who is new to the terminal.
  • A Google account: GCP runs on a Google account with a free tier that covers most lab exercises. Having it set up before day one means you spend your first session on content, not account creation.

If none of these apply to you yet, do not let it stop you from enrolling. The course is designed for beginners and covers everything you need. These are optimisations for people who want to get ahead, not prerequisites for joining.
